FAQ

Find Answers to Your Questions Here!

Appointment availability depends on the day and time you prefer, but many patients are able to book a visit within a few days. For urgent concerns, our reception team will do their best to offer a same‑day or next‑day time slot.
A family physician is trained to diagnose and manage most common health problems across all ages, including infections, respiratory illnesses, skin issues, minor injuries, and routine health concerns. They also care for many chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, asthma, arthritis, anxiety, and depression. When you need more specialized care, your family doctor arranges appropriate tests and referrals and continues to coordinate your treatment.
In most cases you do not need a referral to see a family physician; you can contact our clinic directly to register and book an appointment. However, in Canada a family physician’s referral is usually required if you need to see many medical specialists or access certain hospital‑based services.
Healthy adults are generally encouraged to see their family physician at least once a year for a routine check‑up and preventive screening. Children, seniors, and people living with long‑term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or high blood pressure may need visits more often, typically every three to six months or as recommended by the doctor.
